Our Band Camps

Our Band Camp program was developed in partnership with Bakerview Center For Learning, an alternative S.D. #34 High School. Bakerview provides a district program that draws from all middle and high schools in Abbotsford. When we first connected with Bakerview in 2012, they lacked their own music program, so they were happy to provide space for an after-school Band Camp program that welcomed students from all schools. It’s still the home base for most of our Band Camps.

Our Band Camp is an encouraging, supportive, and positive environment. Our student to teacher ratio is low and students get lots of quality time with enthusiastic young mentors they can look up to. Our students leave the camp with new friends, a new way of expressing themselves, higher self-esteem, and improved social skills. We know that these developments can be enough to start a positive new trend in a young person’s life.

Students from anywhere in Abbotsford can attend our Band Camps. We offer beginning level and intermediate level Camps every year.

It is our pleasure to present this year’s Prom, the Devon Clifford Music Foundation’s annual fundraiser and celebration. Please join as at the Matsqui Hall (in Abbotsford) on March 8, 2014, at 6:00 pm.
As promised, for 2014 we have planned something a little bit different…get ready for Prom Unplugged! We’ve priced tickets at only $40 so that we can fill this hall with people ready to partake in a fun, casual, and carnivalesque evening.
If you wish to compete in the Lip Sync Competition, please send an email by February 22nd to nancy@alyssashortdesign.com with the name of your group, the number of people in it, the name of the song you wish to perform, and the artist who recorded it.
Lastly, we are presently curating items for our Silent Auction, so if you wish to make a donation or procure one on our behalf, please contact kristin.vanvloten@gmail.com.
We look forward to spending a fantastic evening with you!
With gratitude,
The Devon Clifford Music Foundation
